Welcome to Wonderful Texts Book 1 for Years 7 & 8.
A compilation of some wonderful texts for high school English classrooms compiled by experienced educators and prolific readers and reviewers – Deb McPherson and Jane Sherlock.
Created by AATE, in partnership with ETANSW, Deb, and Jane share texts that may already be familiar to teachers, as well as some newly published texts. Some texts will work across stages, and you can choose texts that suit the needs and interests of your students. There are sections for multimodal texts (including films and other visual, spoken, and digital texts), fiction, drama, poetry, non-fiction, and reference texts.
Deb and Jane share that creating this document has been a work of joy for them and we hope it reminds you of some of your favorite texts.
