2026 AATE National Conference

Perth

Wednesday 8 July – Saturday 11 July

Curiouser and Curiouser

Marked by a desire to investigate and learn, to be inquisitive
and wonder about others’ concerns. Excited by all that is strange or unexpected.

We are curious.

Pursuing the peculiar and exploring all that is mysterious. Wondering at the limits of what is known. Questioning the world and its ways.
We grow curiouser and curiouser.

It is a time to consider, a time to be curious. Listen to others who investigate and wonder.

Term 2

Consensus Marking – Year 12 ATAR English and Year 11 Literature

If you are marking the ETAWA Year 12 ATAR English or Year 11 Literature examinations this semester, come along and participate in a consensus marking meeting. We will unpack the examination, marking guide and looking at a range of student scripts for one section of the examination. Year 12 ATAR English will focus on the Composing section and Year 11 Literature will focus on Section 2. Even if you are marking a different section this is a great professional learning experience. It helps you feel confident regarding standards, feedback, and discussing performance with students.
Participating teachers must have access to the relevant exam paper and marking guide.
Registration is free for members and $25 for non-members, please click here to register.

The English Teachers Association of WA acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today. Country has, for thousands of years, been a place of learning.
