February Newsletter 2560 2366 English Teachers Association Western Australia
Welcome to the 2023 Academic Year!
We hope you’ve had an opportunity to settle back into the school rhythm but that your relaxed holiday aura hasn’t disappeared just yet.
2023 will no doubt be another busy year for teachers, and we hope to again support you by offering professional development events, classroom and professional resources, further study opportunities and by sharing all the best English-related news. So look out for our fortnightly newsletters (like this) and visit our website, which provides links to all events and houses your members-only resources.
In 2022 we reviewed the Good Answers Guides to improve the quality of advice and activities that they contain. We have also asked for access to more accessible student responses to ensure we provide “good” student examples. Get your orders in now to avoid disappointment. These publications sell out each year!
The exams team have continued to refine the exam writing process over the summer break. Tick the Semester 1 exams off your To Do list and get your order in now.

This year we have an advance schedule for further study opportunities at UWA Plus. With six courses on offer there should be something to appeal to you if you’re looking for English-related study and detailed conversations with other like-minded English nerds…whoops, individuals.
